The rise and temporary fall of the Empower Network blog platform
On October 31, 2011, David Wood and David Sharpe launched Empower Network, the newest internet marketing product to hit the internet network marketing universe. There is no question, this launch was gigantic and successful. In fact, the reaction was so positive, the nearly 10,000 members Empower Network attracted in its first 30 days completely over-taxed the system.
That is right, the whole system crashed and shut down for five-days—three weeks after launch. The founders then had to scramble and scale their back-end at a frantic pace to cope with the demand. Refreshingly, both Davids will tell you they were caught by surprise and completely unprepared. They were expecting 1,500 members by end of 2011. They never imagined they’d be on pace to reel in 20,000 members in the same time-frame.
But is the buzz on Empower Network starting to die off now that the first round of early adopters have jumped on the bandwagon and made a good chunk of cash (have I mentioned it pays 100% recurring commissions to referring members)? Read on as I share my thoughts on why I think this is a tool that is going to be successful and profitable for many of us long term.
First things first, what is Empower Network
As expected, there are tons of articles and blog entries on the Empower Network blogging platform. You can read a more extensive review on Empower Network here if you wish. For brevity’s sake, let me just give you a fast overview here.
The Empower Network blog platform is a turn-key blogging system meant to help internet marketers get started and succeed with content marketing. As far as internet marketing strategies go, David Wood built an empire leveraging content marketing. He used article marketing and a ho-hum blog to generate a five-figure monthly income inside of 90 days. He is now a famous figure in the online marketing industry.
David knows how difficult and time consuming it was to pull that off. However, when you are homeless and living in a van, you are probably very motivated to do whatever is required. And even then, realizing that milestone is rare.
So, in a stroke of brilliance, both David Wood and David Sharpe made a decision to build a platform that removes the technical learning curve from blogging and incorporates the key SEO elements required to market successfully with content. The end result a product that unquestionably gives the newbie marketer an edge. It helps anyone that uses the tool properly rank for keywords at a seriously quicker pace. I’s also a high-appeal product with big demand, and a progressive 100% commission affiliate marketing structure that is creating pretty significant residual income for lots of folks in record time.
But is Empower Network another splash-and-done product?
I do not believe so. In my experience, content is king. During the 6 months I neglected one of my blogs, never posting even a single article after June 24, 2011, I still managed 100 visitors per day and a page rank of 2. Whithin that time frame, I also generated several hundred auto-pilot leads and I really sold products on auto pilot in spite of a mediocre e-mail marketing funnel.
I’m going to say it again. Content is king.
Having said that , there is no question I’ve heard less buzz on Empower Network as of late. Heck, I stopped seeing Facebook pay per click advertisements altogether (although that could be as a result of the Facebook ad compliance team). To me, this is all standard protocol as far as product launches are concerned.
What I actually think is that now that the shiny-new-toy syndrome is wearing off, marketers are going to have to get creative on how they market Empower Network’s blogging platform. Those who do and actually use it, won’t just leverage a dynamic content syndication tool which will help them drive traffic and generate more business leads, they will also earn really good money along the way.
In fact , it’s pretty clear that the 100% commission structure is a huge hit and enables even the newest marketer to earn more cash than they might otherwise be able to on their own. And let’s be real. For many of us, the ability to earn money is, at this time, the most compelling draw to Empower Network.
But, once you realize how effective the platform is at driving traffic and creating leads, I believe it’ll transcend the profitable compensation model and the magical buzz it’s generated all over the internet air waves. Put simply, I suggest you try Empower Network for what it’ll do for your online marketing career first. Then, while you’re at it, share the product with others and leverage a very simple and legit method to earn continual income along the way.
